A film about two guys making a zero budget film by two guys with a zero dollar budget
Indie Guys Synopsis
Two friends, IAN ALLEN (Jarrod Crooks) and GORDON EDWARDS (Greg Kuper), have made several independent films together. Now they are ready for their next film project, "Secret Formula." The only problem is...they have no money.
When they are unable to obtain a workable budget through crowdfunding, Gordon makes a decision that renders him homeless. With nowhere else to go, Gordon shows up at Ian’s house, and Ian reluctantly agrees to allow him to stay with him.
While waiting to hit it big in the movie business, Ian works at his miserable restaurant job, and Gordon works as a fire fighter. While at work, gordon is given some "life" advice from the station janitor, Carl (Tim Towne). Gordon takes the advice to heart and becomes more difficult to work with than ever.
With all of the distractions and drama that coincide with making a zero-budget, independent film, Gordon and Ian desperately try to finish their film. Tensions escalate within their families, jobs, and even with each other. But passion triumphs over adversity.
